The Catholic Union of Great Britain holds a number of events, including a Summer Gathering and AGM. The Craigmyle lecture and conferences which debate issues of current concern are organised by the Catholic Union Charitable Trust.

Thursday 1 March 2018  at 6.30pm – Prof Roger Trigg on “Cakes, Conscience and Freedom”

Professor Trigg, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick and Senior Research Fellow at the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion at Oxford, will speak on the tension between religious freedom and equality that arises from cases such as Ashers Bakery in the UK Supreme Court (the “gay cake” case) and similar cases elsewhere.

VENUE: Notre Dame University, 1 Suffolk Street, London SW1Y 4HG
(off Trafalgar Square).  Free admission.  Followed by a Reception.
