Advent is typically a time of reflection – of both looking back and looking forward. The lesson to be taken from the past 12 months is that the work of the Catholic Union in championing faith in public life is needed more urgently than ever, that a re-energised Catholic Union is making great progress in its influence – and in the coming year its work will be just as, if not more important. That work will need funding.
