Between 28-29 April, the annual Catholic Independent Schools’ Conference (CISC) took place at Hanbury Manor, Hertfordshire. The theme of the conference was: ‘Who Am I to Judge?…What Are We to Do?’ – ‘“…but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.’ (Jn.8:7-8). The keynote address was delivered by renowned Catholic writer Austen Ivereigh. Workshops were also hosted by Stone King and Moore Kingston Smith, CAFOD and one had a music focus entitled ‘Can you Get Them to Sing Louder?’.
Nigel Parker, our Director, represented the Catholic Union at the event, pictured here with Mo Glackin, General Secretary of CISC. Speaking of his experience, he said: “It was a privilege to meet so many dedicated head teachers striving to deliver the very best in Catholic education”.
