We’re delighted to announce that Baroness Hollins will deliver the Catholic Union’s 2022 Craigmyle Lecture.
This year’s talk will be on the subject of ‘Keeping Children and Vulnerable Adults Safe – Insights from the Vatican’.
It will take place at the University of Notre Dame on Monday 28 November.
Nigel Parker, Director of the Catholic Union, comments: We are delighted that Baroness Hollins has agreed to give this year’s Craigmyle Lecture. Her practical insights into safeguarding based on her personal experience will be invaluable.
Baroness Hollins is a crossbench life peer and is a former President of both the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the British Medical Association. In 2014 she was appointed by Pope Francis as a member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors. She is also a Vice-President of the Catholic Union of Great Britain.
The lecture will be both in person, followed by a drinks reception, and online. There are a few spaces left should people like to register on Eventbrite.
Previous speakers at the Craigmyle Lecture (named after Lord Craigmyle, a former President of the Catholic Union), include Lord Bird, Sir James Macmillan, Lord Glasman, Baroness O’Loan, Baroness Scotland, and Sarah Teather.
