Change at the Catholic Union

Outgoing Director of the Catholic Union, Nigel Parker, writes:

Dear Members, Supporters and Friends,

As many of you may know, I informed the Catholic Union Council last year of my intention to step down as Director after serving in the role for seven years. A recruitment process began last December and I am delighted to inform you that the result of that process is that my successor, as Interim Director, will be Mr Tristan Feunteun. We have been conducting a handover these past few weeks and Tristan will start in his new role next Monday 8 April. Tristan was a Partner in a City law firm and also has experience of public affairs and the voluntary sector. He lives in London and is married with a young family.

The Catholic Union has been on an exciting and successful journey of development over the past few years. I have no doubt that the journey will continue under Tristan’s leadership and I look forward to remaining involved on a voluntary basis. I should like to thank all those with whom I have worked over the past seven years, the Chairmen, Council and committee members, trustees, volunteers, donors, and all the members and supporters whom I have met at our events. A special word of thanks goes to my current colleagues, James and Louisa, and to our staff who work behind the scenes in the office, John and James. I wish the team and the Catholic Union every success in the years ahead!
