From the outset, our President, Baroness Hollins, has urged members and supporters of the Catholic Union, to engage with their local representatives and communities about the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill making quite clear that the personal is political. The bill has passed all of its stages in the House of Commons. Scrutiny of the bill will begin in the House of Lords on 12 September.
It is vital that everyone, within and beyond our faith community, is better informed about what the bill would mean for people living in England and Wales. A similar Bill is also being debated in Scotland.
