Sir Gabriele Finaldi, Director of the National Gallery, delivered the 2026 Craigmyle Lecture. The National Gallery Piggot Theatre was packed for the Craigmyle Lecture, How Art Can Lead Us to Faith and Faith Can Lead Us to Art. Baroness Hollins, President of the Catholic Union, chaired the event. Sir Gabriele’s lecture was inspiring and enriching touching on how masterpieces move each person uniquely and provided testimonies around the theme of art saving lives. It was in itself a masterpiece.
Our thanks to all those who attended and to Stone King for sponsoring the event. We hope to be able to make the text of the lecture available in due course.
